'Now, it was a wise dude who once said that "Remember when..." is the lowest form of conversation there is. I, for one, totes agree! But that's exactly the sorta book this is, so HAH!' Movies affect our growing-up years more than we'd like to admit, they say. Which means the average Bollywood fan is totally screwed. 42 Lessons I Learnt From Bollywood is a jolly look back at the glorious decade for Hindi cinema that was the nineties. Those were eventful years. The economy opened up. India changed. The Internet arrived. And Bollywood was like, 'Wait for me, I can change too!' 42 Lessons is the story of that transformation, even if it wasn't always for the best. This is a treasury of the wisdom a young man garnered growing up on that unsteady fare. From Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Khalnayak, forty-two blockbusters - even some you may not have heard of - seen through the ever-attentive eyes of the Vigil Idiot.

    Author Info
    • Sahil Rizwan is a twenty-six-year-old columnist and stick-figure professional. He follows a lot of sports, even though he doesn't play any. He watches a lot of TV shows, even though he doesn't own an actual television. And he makes a lot of fun of Bollywood, even though he loves pretty much every movie to come out of that industry. He is also the creator of 'The Vigil Idiot' - one of the most widely read webcomics in the country. He is qualified in absolutely no way to critique any movie critiqued in this book.

    Attention: Bollywood Lovers

Sahil Rizwan's (aka The Vigil Idiot) first book is the essential coffee table read you need to have if you grew up with the last of the single screen Bollywood times. From Bol Radha Bol to Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jeyenge, Sahil rips apart every lovable (now mega cringe worthy) film with his stick figures that walk around with much swag around every logic loophole. Funny and witty, what makes the book a bit more endearing are the nostalgic introduction notes that make us flip through the world of...

    Ridiculous price

I do enjoy his satire in reviews of films. But there is no way I am buying this book at that price. Would he not like to lessen the price and sell more books than keep the price high and sell just a few?
