About Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher, a renowned Indian actor, started his acting career in 1982 after attending the National School of Drama. He has acted in over 500 commercial and non-commercial films, and nearly a 100 plays in his lifetime.

Primarily focussing on Bollywood, he also delved into some Hollywood movies like the recently nominated Oscar movie, Silver Linings Playbook. Kher has also been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Padma Shri in 2004, and he has also won the Filmfare Award on numerous occasions. One of the most prominent personalities in the film industry, Kher is married to Kirron Kher and has a stepson named Sikander Kher from Kirron’s first marriage.
