He holds a Master's degree in Punjabi and has been actively engaged in social, religious, and political thinking for over four decades. He serves as the Secretary of the Singh Sabha Shatabdi Committee and is dedicated to Sikh struggle and finding solutions to various issues.
Daya Singh is committed to sharing Sikh ideology with the public through numerous journeys. He has undertaken pilgrimages from his birthplace, Patna Sahib, to his workplace, Anandpur Sahib, dedicated to Khalsa's tryst. He has also organized seminars on the rights of peace and dedicated some to the martyrdom of Guru Arjan.
