About the Book The book presents the subject matter in fully conformity with the syllabi prescribed by C.B.S.E., New Delhi and Education Boards of other Indian States. To keep pace with changing trends in education at national level, the whole test has been arranged strictly according to NCERT Pattern. The main stress has been laid on Si System. Further, the text has been studded with simple Self-Study Questions, so as to provide an insight and a proper grip over the topic, as one learns it. In each Chapter, Concepts, Tips and Tools (CT&T) have been provided so as to enable the students to answer Very Short Answer Questions, Short Answer Questions and to solve typical Numerical Problems. Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) forms a new feature of the present edition of the book. It covers Conceptual Short Answer Questions, typical Numerical Problems and application based questions in Cambridge examinations. The article work in each chapter of a unit is coupled with well graded and carefully selected Solved Numerical Problems for easy comprehension of the beginners. These Solved Numerical Problems have been categorized into two parts viz. From Board Examinations and From Competitive Medical Engineering Examinations, such as N.E.E.T., JE.E.
