Kamal Shukla is Regional Sales Manager with Hindustan Unilever Limited. Earlier he has worked with Asian Paints JV as Regional Manager and Whirlpool of India Limited as Business Manager. He is an alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He has written three white papers titled Sense of Purpose, Roles People Play and Building Values in a Team. Abdul is his first work of fiction. Presently, he is working on the second novel, which is a political satire.

Great Read.Shows human travesty with a touch of sattire

Abdul is a wonderful story about how this world is turning innocent minds into mindless beast. What makes the book tick is the sprinkle of light self-deprecating humor mixed perfectly with the seriousness of the issue in hand. Description of historical places of Afghanistan and Kashmir also makes it quite an enriching experience. A fascinating story with a fine blend of history and entertainment

Interesting read beautifully capturing pleasantness of Hindu-Kush and Kashmir regions..the story keeps you interested all through. Despite the strong historical connections, the author has been able to successfully walk through the strong without dithering away from the subject. A very well written book with an intense message!

An excellent effort by an author, dig deep into the root cause of a layman life and its journey under difficult condition created by life.

One of the best books I have come across. When I started reading it,I got completely attached to it.This Book describes how the innocent minds from poor family get into terrorist organization and loose their future as well as life.
The different situations what a terrorist come across.How they are brain washed by some leaders of terrorist organization.

Abdul(the main character) is a creation of circumstances,A really gripping story of a simpleton who becomes a terrorist due to circumstances.The book is full of human ethos,values and how destiny makes men do things which he abhors.

Thrilling and real...

At first i was like... it is gonna be serious terrorism story... but as the story descended it turned out to be beautiful and innocent teenage boy's wishes and desires.... who wanted to live a normal life like others, had crush and dreams of Zara.... his lady love
Apart from the brutality of war and terror, the innocence of story bound me to the book.....
