Decent mat if you get this under 350 or during sales you can even get it within 300 bucks.
1)- It's EVA (more like normal rubber material), smells initially bad but don't worry it'll go away within 1 week of use if you keep it in ventilated area before and after workout.
2)- I won't say best but it has decent hold on floor surface if you want to perform regular yoga on it (like surya namaskar and some other light stretching exercises as well) but it doesn't have good grip ab...
