Over 1500 pages and documents were shredded. Accepts 6-8 pages at a time. When pages are inserted, the auto starts. Overheating was never an issue for me. When I got a little more zealous and inserted 10+ pages, it became stuck. To get it working again, I had to remove the half-shredded pages and clean up the shreds. After that, I never had any problems. Before you have to empty the bin, it can hold quite a bit. A good product at a fair price.

Great quality shredder that strips old bank cards down so no one can read the information on the card, as well as shreds documents extremely neatly. I needed this when my last shredder, which also shreds CDs, packed up after a friend chose to shred a plastic bag with his address on it.

So use common sense: shredders are only designed to shred paper documents and cards if supported; if you try to shred a CD in this shredder, it will most likely break; similarly, if you try to shred an address...
