Summary of the Book

Castes like Vannaars, Naickers, Panaiyeri Nadars and Thevars who lived in the 19th century faced these disputes. Agnaadi is considered as one of the best Tamil historical novels as it brings out various faces of the Tamil regions from the old times.

About Poomani

Poomani is a famous Tamil writer. He has won prestigious awards like the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize, Gitanjali Literary Prize and Vishnupuram Award. He has penned several short story collections and novels and even directed a movie called Karuvelam Pookkal. Some of the literary works authored by Poomani are Piragu, Vaaikkal, Vekkai, Varappugal and Vayirugal.
