“Agnipariksha” is a first collection of Hindi poems by “Anuprita” alias Dr. Sangeeta Devayani Govindrao Avachar, a trilingual poetess, a translator and a writer in Marathi, Hindi and English languages. She has come up with her first Hindi poetry collection. She has published her three poetry collections, one poetry translation and one edited biographical book. Besides, she voraciously writes over social, educational and environmental issues through newspapers. Anuprita's first Hindi poetry collection Agnipariksha is a constellation of poems for raising awareness. These poems raise a voice against the set stereotyped foul practices causing environmental degradation, subjugation of women, violation of human rights and decline in humanitarian gestures. She deals with the changing norms of human life and the need to curb the menace of lost human dignity. She consistently advocates for environmental preservation after carrying out her doctoral research in the field of Ecofeminsm.
