Dear teachers and students, I am very glad and pleased to present this book “Airforce Recruitment Examination Mathematics” before you. It is a pride and honour for me to have the overwhelming response from you for it’s Hindi edition “T T HA TETT TUTA”. You were demanding this English edition for a long time. It took a rather long time to bring out this book, still I think, it will live up to the expectations of the students. This book is useful for the students appearing at the Airforce Recruitment Examination (Group-X) and Indian Navy Examinations (S.S.R and A.A) which are based on the 10+2 syllabus of CBSE. This book is also useful for the students who appear at the Railway Recruitment Examination (Technical group). It is equally useful for the intermediate students preparing for objective examination. I have been teaching those students who are preparing for NDA Airforce Exam (Group-X) and Navy Exam (S.S.R. and A.A.) since 1997. My interaction with student has helped a lot to decide the content as well as the level of the questions. Suggestions of students have made this book more perfect. So I am greatful to those students who have given me suggestions about this book. I have tried my best to make this book easy to understand. As you know, in Airforce (Group-X) exam, there are 25 questions from Mathematics. Most of the questions are from Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Vector and Probability. It has been seen that in previous exams upto 18 questions were asked from Co-ordinate Geometry, Algebra and Calculus. In addition there are two questions from Probability, two or three from Trigonometry and two or three questions from Vector and Three-Dimensional Co-ordinate Geometry. But students should keep in mind that the number of questions from different chapters varies from one set of questions to another set of questions. There is no perfect rule for the number of questions to be taken from different segments. In this book, useful important facts have been given at the very outset of chapters. In addition, a questions bank of objective questions which includes probable questions has been given for practice. At the end of chapters, detailed explanatory answers will be of immense help to students in the course of their preparation for the above mentioned exams. I would like to welcome valuable suggestions and critical appreciation from teachers as well as the students that will help to make the book more useful. Students taking Airforce (Group-X) Exam or Indian Navy Exams (S.S.R and A.A) are requested to send questions based on their memories and get rewarded.
