The AKG WMS40 Mini Dual Vocal Set comprises two HT40 Mini hand-held transmitters, each fitted with a dynamic cardioid capsule. The cardioid capsule serves to maximise the gain before feedback (GBF). The receiver delivers two balanced outputs through 6.35 mm (0.25) jack connectors. In addition, the hand-held transmitters provide a battery-life of up to 30 hours on a single AA battery, thereby enabling convenient and cost-effective usage.
These Mics feature a cardioid polar pattern, so the optimum attenuation of sound happens at about 180°. Thus, these can be used preferably at places where an interference noise source or a loudspeaker is placed opposite the speaker. For volume and punchy quality, hold the mic at less than 5 cm of distance from your mouth.
You can alter the input sensitivity by utilising the screwdriver provided in the battery-compartment cover to make the requisite adjustments on the PT40 pocket transmitter. Additionally, you can also decrease the potentiometer setting on the pocket transmitter in case the AF CLIP keeps lighting up frequently.
To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that you reserve one microphone strictly for up to two users so that the angle of incidence does not exceed 35 degrees.
