    Summary of the Book

This book revolves around the story of a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths converge in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II. Marie-Laure, the French girl's blindness is convincingly represented, and the description of the steady love of her locksmith father makes her story both more beautiful and more believable. Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History. Her father builds a miniature scale of the neighbourhood they live so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home.

In a mining town in Germany, the orphan Werner learns to fix radios after he falls upon a crude radio he and his sister find. This talent wins him a place at an academy for Hitler Youth. Through a special assignment to track the resistance, Werner becomes more aware of the human cost of his intelligence. His journey takes him through the heart of the war where finally reaches Saint-Malo, where his and Marie-Laure’s story intertwine. Anthony Doerr illuminates the ways, against all odds, people try to be good to one another. This is a book that may give you sleepless nights as you struggle to put it down.

    About the Author

American author Anthony Doerr was born on 27th of October, 1973, in Cleveland Ohio. Although Doerr majored in history at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine and even went on to earn an MFA from Bowling Green State University, writing was always his calling. And, he proved that when his first book The Shell Collector, a compilation of his finest short stories, got published in 2002. Since then, Doerr has written About Grace (2004), Four Seasons in Rome: On Twins, Insomnia and the Biggest Funeral in the History of the World (2010), Memory Wall (2010) and All the Light We Cannot See (2014), and he still continues to write in Idaho home.

    Melts your heart!

Decent fiction work. The way Anthony Doerr describes the city and the situation is just beautiful. Simple and a beautiful story-line. It will absolutely move you. You will get attached to every character that comes across. Fine piece of writing. Loved it to the very end !!!

Beautiful - an epithet not normally used by me

The beautiful blue tones of this cover are a definite incentive to dive into it. As one given to appreciate good covers, I would give full marks to this one. The title of the book is also somewhat poetical and it wasn't until a mathematician in our group pointed out that 'All the light we cannot see' would refer to all the colors of the spectrum that combine to form one white light and which we cannot see normally that the depth of those six words became apparent.

    And so, ladies and gentleme...

    Perfect product!

I didn't know a story can be woven so greatly that you will be mesmerized by it even after finishing it time after time. Fascinating novel that Doerr produces, contradicting the conventional ideas of story telling and plot development. The book was delivered to me in the best condition and obviously I am grateful.

    Simply awesome

The quality of page is good. Got 2 book mark also. About the book, it is based on WW2. So if you're interested in war story then only go for this book. This book will make you sad and happy, mostly sad. You will feel anger after reading all the unfair parts that happened in this book. I will recommend this book because the concept is real nice. The meaning of the book title, "All the lights we cannot see" literally meant all the lights which human eyes cannot detect, that is microwave signal...

    Does the job

Flipkart is India's leading online shopping site. So for being on top of the chain, it should also need to focus on small things like a bookmark. The book's good...no doubt in that...but Flipkart's service is poor. It forgot to attach a bookmark with it which is very important for me.
