It's very easy to incorporate these kesar strands into your dishes to enhance the flavour. Take the required amount of water or milk in a tablespoon and heat it to about 85 degree Celsius. The saffron strands must be first cut into tiny pieces and then added to the heated liquid. Soak the strands in the liquid for at least 45 minutes till they are completely soggy. Some of the saffron colours may ooze out from the strands into the liquid. Whilst preparing the dish, you can add the liquid as well as the soaked strands. This infusion may be stored overnight to enhance the overall flavour and colour of the kesar strands.
