This series consists of five books selected from Dr BR Ambedkar Writings and Speeches from volumes 3, 5 and 12. It primarily focuses on untouchability, caste oppression and some effects of colonialism on the caste system. The series is a collaboration of Hyderabad Book Trust and the Centre for Dalit Studies, Hyderabad in an attempt to rejuvenate interest in Ambedkar’s works and contributions in the making of modern India. It intends to provide ready reference material in Ambedkar’s own words about the pressing problems facing India.
