Good for new PC build, the AM5 currently costly but will have a good upgrade path.

A:Any basic b650 will work, although you might consider ryzen 7600 instead because this one has higher temperature.

A:Yes, I got the 7600X. I was skeptical that I'd order it and receive the non-x version. But I was proved wrong.
As for why it's cheaper, they're probably running a sale.
