Anari  (DVD Hindi)

The story is set in the world of feudal landlords - zamindars - their word is law for the villagers. No sooner the Zamindar brothers hear an astrologer predict that their sister will marry against their wish and brig disgrace on them they set out to shield her from even being seen by men let alone touched by any of them. Looking at the physical prowess of a village simpleton he is employed as her bodygurard. But when he saves her life she falls in love and gets him to tie a necklace around her neck. What he doesn't realize is that it is a wedding chain (mangalsutra) and that in the eyes of God they are married. How the brothers react when they learn of this truth forms the rest of this family dram.
