According to the sermons of Mahatma Buddha, Sarvam Kshanikam, Sarvam Anityam, Sarvam Anatmam, nothing in this world is eternal while the theistic philosophical tradition considers words, meanings and relationships to be eternal. In the time of the Buddha, there were constant philosophical debates among the scholars. To establish the idea of 'impermanence', philosophers like Acharya Dingnag, Dharmakirti and Ratnakirti brought the concept of Apohavada. To reject the idea of Apoahvaad, Acharya Kumaril Bhatt has discussed the topic in detail in the Apoahvaad episode in his famous book Shloka Vartik.
