  • Description

Area 51 is a work of nonfiction, which unearths some of the mysteries surrounding the most famous military installation in the world, Area 51.

    Summary Of The Book

Area 51 is a military installation in Southern Nevada, United States of America. It has been shrouded in mystery days of the Cold War.. The secrecy surrounding this military base has caused it to become a central feature of many conspiracy theories, one of the more popular ones relating to the capture of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) at the base. The military installation is known as Area 51, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) calls it by the name Nevada Test and Training Range. It’s also called Groom Lake, as the facility lies in the dry, flat lakebed of the same name.

In all the years of its existence, Area 51 has not had many credible insiders who could be called authentic sources, especially considering that the government itself had not admitted to its existence. Everything that happens inside Area 51 is kept classified. But all that changes with the release of this book. Area 51, a work of nonfiction, divulges insider information obtained through a number of interviews with scientists, engineers, and pilots. Seventy-four individuals possessing unique information and insights were interviewed, of which thirty-two lived and worked in Area 51. These interviews reveal startling facts about the secretive base and its insider secrets.

The book explores the various experiments and activities that take place in the secretive zone under the name of national security. With a stunning ending, Area 51 blurs the distinction between fact and fiction. The reviews of this book in Los Angeles Times and The New York Times were positive, appreciating author Jacobsen’s research and devotion to the subject.
