About Donald Ervin Knuth

Donald Knuth is an American mathematician and computer scientist, who has been highly revered as the Father of the Analysis of Algorithms. He is the Professor Emeritus at the Stanford University. His pioneering book, The Art of Computer Programming, is a multi-volume work that has been used as an extensive resource across the globe. He created the TeX computer typesetting system, the Computer Modern family of typefaces, and the related METAFONT font definition language and rendering system. His other scholarly works include the creation of WEB and CWEB computer programming systems. Knuth is a prolific writer; some of his other famous books are Literate Programming, Things a Computer Scientist Rarely Talks About, The Stanford GraphBase, TEX: The Program, and Computer Modern Typefaces.
