Asterix Omnibus 1 is a collector’s edition which has the first three Asterix stories in one volume.

Summary of the Book

Asterix Omnibus consists of the first three stories of the Asterix series namely, Asterix the Gaul, Asterix and the Golden Sickle, and Asterix and the Ghosts.

In Asterix the Gaul, Asterix and Obelix defend a small village in Gaul from the mighty and fierce Roman warriors as they surround the small village.

Asterix and the Golden Sickle is the second volume of the Asterix comic book series. Getafix the druid, breaks his golden sickle which leads to panic and chaos in Gaul. Without the Golden Sickle there will be no magic potion which keeps the Roman armies at bay. Asterix and Obelix set out to Lutetia to buy a new sickle from Obelix’s cousin. On their way Lutetia they encounter bandits, but easily defeat them and finally reach the city to get the golden sickle.

Asterix and the Goths is the third volume of the Asterix comic book series. In this volume, Asterix and Obelix accompany Getafix to the annual Druid’s conference in the forest of the Carnutes.

This volume comprises of the various adventures of Asterix and Obelix and is a must-have for all Asterix and Obelix fans.

About the Authors

Rene Goscinny was born in Paris in 1926. He spent most of his childhood in Argentina before moving to Paris in 1951. He is the author of the series.

Albert Uderzo was the illustrator of the comic book series. He was born in 1927 in France. He met Rene in 1951 and their famous creation Asterix made its first appearance in 1959 in a 20-page edition of Pilote.
