I was initially skeptical about the brand. I mean, Audio Technica, what the hell? Who will buy such expensive headphones from a brand no one's ever heard of. I'm being honest here, I seriously never knew Audio Technica existed, and that it was such a good brand.

Audio technica has always been famous for delivering Quality Products. Being awre of this fact I bought the ATH Sj 55 headphone at rs1799. The Headphones deliver great bass and soothing mids and highs.! Plastic quality is quite good. I am one of the people who uses electrical gadgets with extreme roughness but I must say that this product is extremely Durable.! It has a pretty long cable and y type cord also makes it comfortable to wear.! The Jack is gold plated and sticks on nicely.!

For 1800/- this headphone outputs nice and crisp sound. Music is soothing to the ear and the sound output is quite smooth on both sided of the headphone. It is quite flexible and comfortable on ears though after 2 hours of usage, you might feel like shifting the ear cups a bit as it gets irritating a bit after continuous use for more than hour or so. Look is as good as it is shown in picture. Build quality is very good. I think, for 1800/- it is really nice headphone to own.

Pros:
1. Quality of the plastic and wire is really good. May not be the best bt good.
2. Bass is heavy.
3. Sound is loud. Basically adequate for people like me.
4. Cushions are good.
5. Though treble is not so high there is no ear pinching sound.

Cons:
1. Treble is not so high bt sounds good.
2. Initially it hurts the ears which gradually decrease by a continuous use.

These were my first on-the-ear headphones, and though i am not an audiophile, I enjoyed using the headphones more than my old branded in-ear headphones.

Only thing it lacks is "It's not that loud". Even on full volume it tends to keep it on the down low.

Would have loved a little more bass on it.

Perfect for outdoor use light weight portable but if u want something rigid then check Audio Technica ATH M20x for same price... or else this are perfect...
Bass is soft and comfortable as i like ...so if u are looking for loud bass then this one is not for u...
