The present crisis of the country is not a crisis born out of Hindu-Muslim relations or Mandir-Mahjid problem, it is due to the absence of fundamental issues in Indian politics, in this context some intellectuals also feel inclined to accept the statement that after independence Indian politics never descended on the original land of this nation. Questions of the absence of fundamental issues arose when those issues were ever present. It would be more meaningful and expedient to say that the politics of independent India never progressed beyond the polling booths and the bulk of communal minority votes. For the first time, that too due to Ayodhya debates on some basic issues in Indian politics and society.
