Wheatgrass is an easy to grow microgreen. It can simply be grown in a shallow tray or small pot filled with garden soil. Spread seeds on the soil surface and cover it with a thin layer of soil, to allow germination. Germination usually takes 2-3 days. GROWING REQUIREMENTS SOIL You can handpick any garden or potting soil from outside the house. Organic seed mix can also be bought from a nursery for a better produce. SPOT Coriander requires less sunlight as compared to other microgreens. A light sunny spot receiving 3-4 hours of sun is good enough. WATERING A microgreen plant is to be kept moist at all times, especially in summers. Feed your plant with water at least twice a day using a water spray or a can. HOW TO HARVEST Once the plant develops small green leaves and has grown up to almost 2 inches of height, the shoots can be cut with a scissor or a knife from just above the soil. Harvesting shall usually take place in 10-12 days post germination.
Wheat is typically milled into flour which is then used to make a wide range of foods including bread, crumpets, muffins, noodles, pasta, biscuits, cakes, pastries, cereal bars, sweet and savoury snack foods, crackers, crisp-breads, sauces and confectionery (e.g. liquorice)::Soil Nutrient Requirements::You can handpick any garden or potting soil from outside the house::Organic seed mix can also be bought from a nursery for a better produce.
