| Author Info | - Aaditya Sengupta Dhar was born in Singapore, lived in Bangkok and now Mumbai. This helps him appreciate how similar values are across boundaries. He believes building bridges and tapping into shared values will create a kinder, better world.
Excelling in school is important, however, he believes being a good person is more important than just being a good student. Inspired by the plight of migrant workers during COVID, he wrote an eBook called Underdogs to raise awareness about underprivileged children, donating all sale proceeds to Save The Children India.
He loves reading, inspiring him to create his own stories. His first novel, Secret Tails, was published in 2019. His second book, Underdogs, in 2020. A short story of his about bridging prejudices across boundaries won 1st Prize in the 2021 Global Storytelling Festival organised by The Melton Foundation. His next book, Legend of the Broken Blade, a fantasy novel, is coming later in 2022. Outside of school and writing, he is an avid Cricket fan and holds a Black Belt in Karate.
He would like to help create a better tomorrow through his writing, ideas and by championing causes he is passionate about. He’s only 13, but as his favourite author, J.R.R Tolkien said, “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.”
