It is more than enough for a five member family
It is very good for fast processing of rice. One problem I faced was, the water vapour get in to the lid, it makes some kind of inconvenience and odour. I have made kerala rice (kutthari), and normal white rice in this cooker, and it is enough for making rice for five people. I tried little bit of more cooking with the same cooker, like making chicken, beef curries, biriyani etc. it can serve that purpose also, if you are living with limited facilities or in a hostel room.
