Bal Gandharva  (DVD Marathi)

Bal Gandharva is an excellent film, beautifully recreated and portrayed. The acting and the singing are powerfully executed and mesmerising. Watching the film, Narayanrao aka Bal Gandharva's passion for his art came through as awe inspiring. His dedication to his acting and music is a far remove from other singers portrayed in films today. Subodh Bhave does a powerful enactment of the eponymous singer. Kudos to the team!

Bal Gandharva himself was a theatre legend. The film, with its direction, music, acting... everything is a masterpiece paying a tribute to that legend. For most people who have only 'heard' the stories of Bal Gandharva, this film will bring alive those times and days!
