Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne begin their adventures as Batman and Robin in Volume 1: Batman Reborn, a graphic novel from Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely.

    Summary of the Book

Bruce Wayne is no more. Following the events of Final Crisis, where he sacrificed himself for the good of all, the Dark Knight has fallen. The third Robin, Tim Drake, throws down his mantle as the Boy Wonder and begins a journey to find a way to bring Bruce back. However, as the Bat-Family well knows, Gotham cannot function without a Batman, and without Bruce Wayne to wear the cowl, someone needs to. Criminal scum will rule the streets without the Dynamic Duo to stop them, and who better to succeed the World's Greatest Detective than his first protege and greatest pupil? Dick Grayson has battled with the decision for long enough, and now he has no choice. He wears the Cape and Cowl, and readies himself to pound justice into the vermin of Gotham. But he is not alone. Damian Wayne, Batman's son, is set to join him as Robin, but can this unruly, wild child who keeps comparing Dick with Bruce and how he is no fit for the mantle of the Bat, a fit comrade for the former Nightwing? They have no time for their squabbles as vigilantes out of their past begin rearing their head. The new Dynamic Duo must pull their act together and fight off these criminals before they consume Gotham with their crimes.
