As droplets in the air make their way down to the floor, the pre-filter works to capture dust and allergens. Then, onto the 2nd stage, the activated charcoal filter traps VOC, harmful gases, toxic fumes, and unpleasant odors which carry everything onto the filter where bacteria, mites, pollen, and dust are filtered.
