Bhagavad Gita As It Is [Hindi language] (English, Hardcover, Swami Prabhupada A.C. Bhaktivedanta)
Ramesh Menon’s modern translation of the Song of God, The Srimad Bhagavad Gita, remains true to the original epic, reproducing both its intensely philosophical message and lyrical exquisiteness.
Summary of the Book
As the prodigious Pandava hero, Arjuna, stands on the battleground of Kurukshetra, preparing to fight an army managed by his kinsmen and his adored master, he is overwhelmed by desolation. He turns to his divine charioteer, Krishna, for direction and comfort. It is this Krishna’s message to Arjuna that is regarded as the greatest expression of the Hindu philosophy. Ramesh Menon upholds the relevance of this timeless scripture in the contemporary world through this title.
