    AN INTRODUCTION TO INDIAN PHILOSOPHY Ancient and modern, Hindu and non-Hindu theists and atheists – the philosophical views of all types of Indians are called 'Indian philosophy'. Some people consider Indian philosophy to be synonymous with 'Hindu philosophy', but if the word 'Hindu' means Vedic religion, then it would be unfair to consider 'Indian philosophy' to mean only the philosophy of Hindus. In this regard, we can refer to Madhavacharya's 'Sarvadarshan Sangrah'. Madhavacharya himself was a Vedanuyayi Hindu. He also gave a place in philosophy to Charwak, Buddhism and Jainism in the above mentioned treatise. The promoters of these beliefs were not devout Hindus. Nevertheless, these schools have the same place in Indian philosophy as the philosophies promoted by the Vedic Hindus. The vision of Indian philosophy is broad. Although there are many branches of Indian philosophy and there are differences among them; Yet they do not expect each other. All branches try to understand each other's views. She reviews ideas rationally, only then reaches a principle. The result of this liberal attitude is that a special system for discussion originated in Indian philosophy. According to this system, first there is the antecedent, then there is the rebuttal, and finally there is the postulate or theory. In the preceding there is an explanation of the opposing opinion. After that it is denied or resolved. Finally comes the north side in which the philosopher expounds his principles
