Out From Boneville is the first instalment in Jeff Smith’s Bone graphic novel series.

Summary of the Book

Fone Bone, Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone are the three Bone brothers. They are run out of Boneville, and forced to live on their own. As they journey through a desert, they are separated, losing their path in the vastly uncharted emptiness. Soon, they are drawn towards a deep valley covered in forests. Here, they will encounter strange and terrifying creatures, and they will learn that there’s no going back home.

About Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith is an American cartoonist known for his self-published comic book series, Bone. He has also published RASL and is working on a web-comic entitled Tüki Save the Humans.

Smith has won several Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards for his work.

Enchanting series for kids and adults alike

Bone is a wonderful and charming comic series. The whole story is spread over nine books. I would recommend that you buy the nine book series over the single volume edition. First, because it is easy for pages to come off from a 1200+ page book and second, more importantly, the nine volume series is in glorious color instead of B&W for the single volume edition. Buy the whole series and read it together with your kids (ages 9+).

A REVOLUTION IN COMIC WORLD

its d best comic saga on planet...for a variety of reasons:-
1>a truly magnetic plot
2>excellent mixture of commedy, suspense, adventure
3>sense of hummor by 'jeff smith' is certainly uncomparable…it tickles u almost every moment
4>best sketching u would ever see(hats off to jeff smith)
5>a wide range of characters perfectly fitting in their role
6>three bone characters with three different nature & temperament are brilliant
7>the whole story is absolutely lively.....as u pass through pages u...

Hilarious

I bought this for my kid brother and he absolutely adored it (and so did I). I'm always discouraging him from reading comics because it's not really the most ideal influence for growing vocabularies but I am so glad he's obsessed with this series.
Really checks all the boxes.
