It can bleach the color of the band and also more brittle., When doing exercises that require stepping on the band, make sure to wear shoes made with nonabrasive soles., Never use a resistance band with barefeet and do not workout on the floor with an abrasive surface., Tying off a band creates areas of friction on the band that will weaken it. Ensure to untie it after the exercise., Avoid wrapping the band directly around sharp edges, wood, or chipped edges on the barbell or pull up bars., As a rule of thumb, never extend a band more than twice its resting length since over stretching can create tears and weaken the latex eventually causing it to snap.
