Give considerable thought before buying this book
This book leans towards Mathematical Analysis (a subject that explores the theoretical problems of Calculus, infinite series, real numbers, etc...). So the motivations are of a different kind. Instead of motivating by examples, real word problems, etc... Spivak motivates us by showing how Calculus can be used to discover the mystical properties of real numbers.
