Worth every penny
Auto focus is fast enough but at maximum aperture my 1500d misses focus some times. But manual focus adjustment is fine enough to get proper clarity.
On a side note, manual focus is also done by stm. It's not mechanical as kit lens. One can here stm motor whirring sound while focusing manually.
Only issue is that lens doesn't retract on powering down camera.
