Warning!! No IS - blurry photos - you will need a tripod - get 55-250 instead.

Only recently i was in the market for a telephoto. And 75-300 and 55-250 were the only ones within my budget. By the look of things you get an extra 50mm ... translated to 80mm in a crop camera like my 500d... and you get it cheaper. While looking at both, the 75-300 even appears more rugged and smart. so why? yes!! IS (image stabiliztion). 55-250 comes with IS while 75-300 does not. Canon lenses are known (and rightly so) because of IS, and here we have one without it.
Even then I went out t...

    Worth For Sure

Good in-expensive Zoom Lens, Very smooth focusing. You will be excited when you use it on First Day, second day you may be disappointed, more Practice needed to capture good pics as it doesn't have IS. Use Breathing Techniques & Work with the Good Shutter speed accordingly... F8 is the good aparture point

BEST DEAL PERFECT FOR OUTDOOR PHOTOS

I received the product, before the expected delivery date. thanks to Flipkart.
Best lens for its price range. The Bokeh effect is better than the 50mm.
doesn't come with an image stabilizer, but you can fix that with high shutter speeds.

On the whole a great lens that every photographer should have.

cons ; not good for night and low light photography

    Canon EF 75-300 mm review

First of all I'd like to mention that I bought this product at nearly half the price..thanks to the amazing offer on Flipkart! You might come across a lot of negative reviews about this product but after personally using it on a APS-C sensor format, following are my stand points:

    PROs:
    a. First of all it's a telephoto up to 300 mm range and an EF lens by Canon which is economical and a budget lens in this segment
    b. The lens has a smooth focus up to 220 to 250 mm (max) beyond which it become...

Good lens but no IS need tripod...

Using the lens for quiet some time. The picture quality is good. But we always has to be careful not to be shaky while taking snap especially when taking distant shots.

There is no IS facility. So tripod is a good to have.

The 70-300 IS is an alternative, comparatively expensive. but it should be a worth buy.

USM - game winner (worth the price - WS Retail) - Caution: No IS!

Thanks to Flipkart for the quick delivery!

Here's my review on the lens after using it for a couple of days:

    1) Hardware:
The lens feels quite robust in the hands, but is slightly bulky as compared to the Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS II kit lens that most of you would have used / are using. It is around 4 to 5 mm longer in length than the Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS II lens. The rear end (mounting side) of the unit is made of METAL, instead of the usual plastic material. Not at all a cheap build, al...

    Awesome Lens for Great Price!

    Hi Guys,

    1. I am a beginner in photography and was searching for a `telephoto` lens for wildlife photography. Thus, my aim was to find a good and affordable lens initially, and then graduate to an L Series Canon lens later. As luck would have it, I had saved this lens in my wishlist sometime back, and got it for an amazing price of just Rs 6999/- (almost 50% off on the day of my purchase), which costs about Rs 15,890/- as of today!!!!

    2. Packaging and Delivery. Was exactly as promised. The...

Low cost and better performance of the canon EF 75-300 usm lens.

I have used this lens for quite time and the product is good. This has good sharp image and rugged built.Operation is smooth.

If us have good grip and use stand then best snap can be produced.

If IS feature is not available others are ok.

    Value for Money

This Lens justify it's price (Rs 9999). I was able to to take some stunning shots for moth nature as well as human model photography. Only down is that this does no have IS which anyways can not be expected in this price range.

Overall I am happy that I purchased this one and highly recommended for those who have just started learning DSLR photography.

    Not bought from flipkart

As per my suggestions never use this lens without a tripod.. All I can say is that the tripod will be the almost only way to shoot at low light ... Some times the ISO doesnt work that good with this lens.. If its for wildlife ... I would not accept his offer.
