The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby is a children’s novel by Dav Pilkey. The protagonist of this book is Super Diaper Baby, a tiny new superhero. George and Harold, the co-stars of Dav Pilkey's bestselling Captain Underpants series, have been punished and asked to write a hundred page report on good citizenship, and they have been specifically ordered not to write another comic book about Captain Underpants. So they invent a new superhero, Super Diaper Baby. The fearless infant has to save the planet from diabolical Deputy Doo-Doo and his reluctantly evil pooch, Danger Dog.

Dav Pilkey was born on March 4th, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Kent State University as an art major. Pilkey at times uses the pen name George Beard. The encouragement received from his English professor was responsible for him to launch his writing career. Pilkey began creating his first book, World War Won and entered it in The National Written and Illustrated Awards Contest for Students and won it, the reward being the publication of World War Won. In 1997, Pilkey won the Caldecott Honor for his book The Paperboy. He is best known for his Captain Underpants series that he created while still in elementary school.
