Summary of the Book

Professor Pippy P. Poopypants comes from a place where everyone has a funny name. Although he is intellectual and a scientific genius, his name doesn’t earn him the respect he is supposed to get. His silly name does not let people take him seriously. The two fourth graders, George and Harold, are not portrayed as bad kids, but the way they try to liven up things for everybody, makes them fall prey to disastrous situations. Also, their silly jokes seem to get them into trouble frequently. This book unfolds the story when Professor Pippy P. Poopypants is selected as the science teacher of these two kids. What they do, how the professor gets back at them, and how Captain Underpants comes in amidst all the chaos, is described in this book.

About the Dav Pilkey

Dav Pilkey is a famous American author and illustrator of children’s books. His wonderful illustrations of many comic characters have been entertaining children all over the world. He entered his first book, World War Won, in a national level competition for student authors, when he was in school, and won in his age category. The book was later published. He is also the creator of many series including: Dragon, Dumb Bunnies, Captain Underpants Spin-off Graphic Novels, Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot, and Big Dog and Little Dog.
