A delightful addition to the crime and detection genre

"The Case of the Missing Servant" is a highly entertaining and readable detective novel set in India. Vish Puri, the detective, comes across as a very shrewd and endearing character with many lovable and fascinating quirks. The other characters in the book are also very interesting and well fleshed out, in a literary sense. The story moves at a brisk pace and resolution at the end is neat and believable.
This is the first of four books so far by Tarquain Hall in this series and I certainly...

"Fun becomes" -- great for Indians & expats in India

I'm a big murder-mystery buff & I def. warmed upto 'Vish Puri', the almost cliched Indian detective.

More than the story perhaps I loved the colors of the book, the author paints a very rich picture of Delhi & Indian life - and given the fact the author is an expat, it made for interesting reading.

I've lent the books (this one & the second 'Man who died laughing') to some 'phirang' friends of mine & they enjoyed them as well.
