Have been using this for the past 8 years. Never had to change the battery. Apart from the phone book, has some pretty useful functions like 5 alarms with snooze, day counter, world clock, hourly reminder, power saving mode(the display turns off when not exposed to light for some time). You can also set the light to turn on every time you tilt your wrist to read time.
