I bought this mainly for bird watching and general long-distance viewing. The build quality feels solid, the green finish looks nice, and the image is bright and clear even in low light. It's comfortable to hold for longer sessions, and the focusing is smooth. However, I don't think the magnification is truly 12x - feels closer to 8x in real use. Still, for the price, it's a good pair of binoculars with sharp optics and easy handling
