Excellent beginner's scope
I started off with Astronomy a couple of months back, and this scope is by far the best you can get under 10k. If you're looking for something more powerful (which still fits the category of beginner scopes), go for the Astromaster 130eq (the non-motorized version), which retails for about 14-15k.
The scope itself is brilliant. There's a high degree of clarity, and I would recommend it to just about anybody. And I love how compact it is and easy to carry around.

Very good beginner scope
The telescope is for beginners and is reasonably priced. For a beginner scope the two most important things are the ease of setup and the ease of use, this one is perfect in both. And I am impressed with the portability of the scope. The backpack provided can comfortably fit all the components and is very small in size to carry around.

I am very much satisfied with the product and the experience with it was amazing. Iam just a beginner so i can't discuss most of the issues related to it.More over the software "Sky Line X" that come with it very useful to locate a no.of planets and constellations.It was delivered with in 3 days.Very much useful for those who want to start astronomical viewing.The problem is that it doesn't come with azmith locking tripod.A very good deal.I strictly recommend it.

Great scope for less money
I got this scope from Flipkart 3 weeks ago, I only used it a few times due to the place i live i can't even get to roof top but had a look at the Moon, i could see faint craters with some sharpness, Venus was like a big dot and stars are same as the way it looks from your eyes.
The 20mm eyepiece is good for terrestrial viewing, the view was simply very good, the 10mm eyepiece is not good for terrestrial, while for astronomical, this scope is useful only when you have a very good steady moun...

Nice Telescope but bad stand
This is an amazing telescope but has peer stand quality. The Length of telescope is low so it has a Pro and a Con.
Pros
1. You can easily travel with this around.
2. It has a bigger diameter of front lens so capture more light and images are crisp.
3. U can easily add a Barlow lens of higher capacity.
Cons
1. Being small u cant see Jupiter or Uranus . They will look like a bigger starts.
2. Stand is very shaky so u cant point it to one place it would be very difficult.

Very good optics!
Using this from 1 week, my analysis are
Pros:
1) This is a quality telescope
2) Very good optics
3) Strong build yet light and easy to carry anywhere
4) Moon craters were very clear
5) 70mm aperture is very good
Cons:
1) Magnification is only 40x with the eyepiece provided
(Planning to buy Barlow lens to increase magnification, i hope that the result will be good as the optics of the telescope are really nice, will update the review accordingly)

very good piece of lens almost compatible with dobsonian 8 inch reflector, except for the feebly stand tripod. it is my best buy of the year.

Can be used only to view landscapes and Moon. The best in its range! No maintenance, less assembly!
I have tried this with sightseeing and also for looking at moon at great magnification. But you cannot see stars or other planets or any other celestial events unless they say its visible in naked eye.Been using it for a year now and I don't find it messing my time with assembly, takes me just a minute to assemble and start seeing things. No maintenance! Now thats a relief and the CD they gave with this has very good information on Space and stars alignment and stuff.
