Author Info | - Ashok Kumar holds both a B Tech and M Tech degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. Commencing his journey in the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1989, he has navigated through a series of demanding roles across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, demonstrating his spirit in each assignment.
After being retired from the esteemed position of Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, presently he is serving the post of vice chancellor at Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, Haryana. Ashok Kumar had contributed his expertise to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Border Security Force (BSF) on a deputation basis. Prior to this significant role of DIG, he distinguished himself as the Chief of Intelligence and Security, as well as the Director General of Law and Order in Uttarakhand. His exceptional service was recognised internationally when he was awarded the UN Medal for his dedicated service in Kosovo amidst conflict in 2001.
He was awarded the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 2006 and Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Services in 2013. He has authored a path-breaking book titled Khaki Mein Insan (Human in Khaki), which received the G.B. Pant Award from the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Recently, he has authored two more books, Cracking Civil Services The Open Secret and Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude.
Vipul Anekant has completed his B. Tech from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. He was a student of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. He joined DANIPS in 2012. Presently, he is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Home Minister Security, Delhi. Earlier, he has been posted as the ACP, Economic Offences Wing, Delhi Police and the SP, Diu Island and SDPO-Daman/Khanvel with the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu."
