  • Description
It began with two patients undergoing routine "minor surgery" in Boston's greatest hospital but Nancy Greenly, Sean Berman and a dozen others—all admitted to Boston Memorial Hospital for routine procedures—were victims of the same inexplicable, hideous tragedy on the operating table. They never regained consciousness. Up against the scorn of the medics and the hostility of the establishment, one girl medical student starts to probe the coma cases, steadily uncovering something unbelievably hideous...

Cook keeps you engrossed till the end

For the layman thinking about reading this, you do need some level of medical knowledge to understand this novel fully, else you will find yourself rummaging dictionary for meanings.

Very crisply written with vivid details and you would actually get into the skin of the protagonist if you get too engrossed. However the novel becomes fast paced towards latter part and you feel the urge to finish it in one go. While the ending is vaguely mentioned in the copy I brought, It is perhaps understoo...

As always with Robin cook Coma in deed awesome book. Nothing to say about it anymore. People who likes Cook's story surely should buy it. Well regarding flipkart the delivery was very quick. But the cover page is not what I expected. ( as with the other books I bought from flipkart) Its very thin and more like A colour xerox.

    Unputdownable...

It's a brilliant, gripping medical thriller and probably the best of Robin Cook. The way plot unfolds and clinical details described, it keeps the reader engrossed, on the edge of the seat. Unputdownable and a must read for the lovers of suspense thriller. He has subsequently authored other masterpieces like Toxin, Brain, Chromosome 6 as well; but Coma still stands out!!

Being a fervent reader i dont think that this book is the real deal. It is a very normal story with the usual plot. A person who watches a lot of movies should be able to guess the direction the writer is heading to. Overall its an average story which may be surprising only to the readers that have just upgraded from the Chetan Bhagats, enid blyton, etc

    Coma- A thrilling thriller

Coma is a 1977 book written by Robin Cook , who is renowned to blend medicine and public health into thrillers. Coma is a book that keeps the reader interested until the very end and even thereafter.
In the pages of introduction where the case is gradually set up, the author apparently puts you through an illusion that the reader might have to put in some effort to grasp the jargonized medical terms. But once the case is set up the author gives way to a whole lot of incidents and everything e...
