Common Birds of Mumbai - Not Just a Field Guide is far more than just a pictorial field guide to the 174 species of birds of Mumbai (resident and migratory). It is a book for nature lovers that offers fun trivia and other handy articles to learn more about the birds around us. Divided into colour codes for ease of use, each species is depicted with different male and female silhouettes, its common name, scientific name, size and habitat indication. All this informative content on birding makes it not just a kids nature book, but enjoyable for adults alike! Pooja Hemdev Lalwani has made efforts to help reconnect urban children and parents in India to nature by creating awareness about all things related to wildlife. This led her to write her very first book. She hopes that the book will help the reader expand their consciousness and observe Mumbai with fresh eyes.
