About The Authors

The author of this book, Jerry M. Newman, is also a renowned educator from America. Apart from this book, Newman has published another book entitled My Secret Life On The McJob: Lessons In Leadership Guaranteed To Supersize Any Management Style (2007). Newman currently holds the position of SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor at School of Management University at Buffalo, in the Organization And Human Resource Department. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and obtained his master’s and doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota. He has written over 100 articles on a number of topics pertaining to Human Resource.

The co-author of this book, George Milkovich, is also a renowned professor. Apart from this book, Milkovich has also written Current Issues In Human Resource Management: Commentary And Readings, Compensation And Benefits, and Organizational Behavior And Management. Milkovich currently holds the position of the M. P. Catherwood Professor at ILR School, Cornell University. For his immense contribution, Milkovich has also received numerous awards, one of them being the Keystone Award from the WorldatWork Association. He is also a visiting professor at a number of universities across the globe, some of them being Hong Kong University of Science And Technology, Charles University in Prague, and the University of California, Los Angeles.

C. S. Venkata Ratnam was a renowned professor, and author from India. Apart from this book, Venkata Ratnam has written several other books, and some of them include Challenge Of Change: Dynamics Of Labour Management Relations In India, Industrial Relations, and Employers Dilemma. Venkataratnam began his career by working as a professor at IMI, in the year 1986, and eventually became the Director in 2005. He served as a visiting professor at a number of universities worldwide, some of them being the University of Graz in Austria, Montreal and Manchester Business School in Manchester. He was also a visiting fellow at McGill University. He passed away on the 16th of April 2010, after suffering from a prolonged sickness.
