Crisis On Infinite Earths (English, Paperback, Wolfman Marv)
Visit the multi-verse catastrophe of the century which will change the DC universe forever in this award-winning comic book from Marv Wolfman and George Pérez.
Summary of the Book
There were many worlds. That was obvious from the start. Each world had its own version of Superman, Batman and the others. Some were similar, some were very different. In one world, Kal-El, Clark Kent, was the Last Son of Krypton. In others, he had others with him, including Kara-Zor, his cousin who took up the mantle of Supergirl. In some Kal was aged, and Lois Lane was dying. In others he was still the Superman everyone knew and loved. However, a diabolical supervillain known as the Anti-Monitor plots to destroy the entire multiverse and stop all of time. The good Monitor guides a select group of superheroes from the multiverse to protect massive tuning forks which can merge the suviving Earths into one, so that at least a part of them can be saved. However, even the Monitor is betrayed and soon the weight of the multiverse falls on the superheroes themselves, and eventually the entire DC universe who must work together to save all the universes out there. If they cannot, it means the end of life. Even if they can, there can be no going back, and all time will be changed forever.
