Crog (English, Paperback, Mitchison Amanda)
Crog is a young adult fantasy novel by Amanda Mitchison.
Summary of the Book
Wilf should never have filched that bowl. The gold-rimmed, small wooden bowl looked ancient, but there was something else to it that drew Wilf towards it. He should have left it in the museum, safe where it belong. Now, he’s stuck with a small creature who appears in his room, a creature calling itself Crog. Crog claims to be over three thousand years old, but looking at his brown rags, dripping mud and blood, his soot-coloured stubs which stood in place of his teeth and the oddly eerie rope around his neck, Wilf had his doubts. Crog was once tasked with protecting the bowl, and he’s back to redeem his past failure by keeping it out of the hands of those who’d misuse its power. However, there are those who want the bowl so badly that they’d do anything to get it. If Wilf wants to stay alive, he’ll have to help Crog keep the bowl out of their hands. But his adversaries are always closing in on them.
