Lapping is a precision machining technique used to produce flatness, parallelism, thickness or surface finishing to an extremely demanding tolerance. Lapping involves a process in which two surfaces are rubbed together with a fine abrasive grains, in the loose dry form or suspended in a liquid carrier, between then to remove the stock from a surface. CUMISHARP micro abrasive grains due to its high hardness and good friability at micro level along with stringent particle size distribution makes it an ideal abrasive grains for the faster and uniform removal of the stock from the surface thereby providing better surface finishes during lapping.
