  • Description

The Dalai Lama's Cat and Art of Purring is about Dalai Lama, His Holiness and his cat, HHC (His Holiness Cat). The book is focused around happiness and what does it take to be truly happy from within. The book is based from the perspective of his Cat, and what really makes her purr?

    Summary of the Book

It is a very interesting novel set in the small town of McLeod Ganj, at the foothills of Himalaya. The book is narrated by HHC, His Holiness’ Cat and it is about her adventures in the two months during His Holiness' travels to America leaving her behind. He leaves Snow Lion with an assignment to find out for itself what makes her purr? The sequence of events that follow make it an amazing read. From her encounter with a highly respected Yogi, to being chased by Golden retrievers, Snow Lion gets to meet many people in her quest. HHC finally comes to the conclusion that she purrs because she is happy, but there are many more reasons to it!

    The Best Sequel

Alright! I never thought that I would like this book so much. Usually sequels are a bit disappointing but this one is even better than the first one.

HHC (aka Snow Lion) is seriously the coolest cat I have ever come across. David Michie’s writing is easy-to-read and yet very literary that you just can’t keep the book down until you don’t finish it. I like how this book taught me so many things about Buddhism and one’s inner self that too through a cat! The amount of positive energy co...

    Worth a read!

Considering the amount of interest the first book The Dalai Lama's Cat aroused in me, I was expecting the same, if not more, from the sequel as well. And I'm glad the book didn't disappoint me! The (mis)adventures of HHC and the things she discovers are put across in a beautiful way. There are a few instances when you actually put down the book, introspect and smile. Definitely worth a read!
