uthor J.V. Pawar is 77 years old, and works as the general secretary of BaRiP (Bhartiya Republican Party, a political party led by Prakash alias Balasaheb Ambedkar). Pawar has been a part of the Ambedkarite Movement for 52 years now. Known among people and friends as JaVi, he is one of the founding members of Dalit Panthers in Maharashtra. Both as a founder and as the documentationist of the Dalit Panther movement, he is often called the Google of the Ambedkarite movement. Translator Prabhakar Mandara who has translated several important works from English into Telugu, received the Central Sahitya Academy award for translation.
